Notes from the trip
The brief was simple: show the hotel in the light guests actually get in late autumn, which is low, short and often grey. We agreed early that we would not fake a summer that the islands do not have.
Most days the useful light lasts from ten until four. I shoot the rooms in the morning, walk the coast at midday and save the last hour for the harbour, when the cabins switch their lamps on.
