Licensing

Placeholder copy. This page is part of the Stopover template: replace it with your own text, checked for where you work, before you publish.

This page explains how commissioned and archive photographs can be used. Every licence is confirmed in writing before work starts, and that agreement wins over anything written here.

Commissions

For commissioned work, you receive a licence to use the delivered photographs for the purposes, places and period agreed in the brief. Copyright stays with the photographer. Extra uses can be added at any time for a fee agreed in advance.

Archive photographs

Photographs on the wall can be licensed for editorial, advertising or private use. Send the photograph's place and time, where it will appear and for how long, and you will get a quote within two working days.

Credit

Editorial use needs a credit next to the photograph. Advertising use does not, unless agreed otherwise.

What is not included

Unless agreed in writing, licences do not include resale of the photographs, use in templates or stock libraries, or training of machine learning models.
