I photograph places for the people who look after them.
Hotels, lodges, tourism boards and the magazines that write about them. I have been doing it from Vancouver since 2014, mostly in places where the weather has the final say.
I started as a hiking guide and picked up a camera to remember the routes. Clients asked for the pictures, then for more, and the guiding slowly turned into photography. The habit of planning a day around the light never left.
When I work
Every photograph on the wall, by the minute it was taken. Most of the marks sit in the first and last hours of light.

Working together
Most commissions start with a short call and a shorter brief: where, when, for whom and where the pictures will be seen. I reply with a plan built around the light, not a mood board.
On location I work alone or with one assistant, and I scout before I shoot. You get a first edit within a week and the final set within three.
Licensing is simple. You get the rights you need for the places you named, and I keep the right to show the work here and in print.
