Notes from the trip
The hotel wanted guests to understand the scale of the place before they arrived. So we spent as much time on the salt flats and the lagoons as we did in the building.
Night work here is a gift. At 4,000 metres the sky is so clear that the stars carry the exposure, and the only thing to manage is the cold.
